Quangang 200,000 t/a Polyether Project I. Description: it is planned to build the Project in Nanshan District of Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park with a planning area of 80 mu. The planned annual capacity of polyether is 200,000 t/a and the main raw material is EO, PO and THF. The EO and PO can be directly supplied from the Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park. The THF is planned to be out-purchased in the current phase. A THF project of 46,000 t/a has been planned in the future. It is suggested to use KOH catalyze process or DMC catalyze process of double(multi) metal cyanide complex. II. Construction reasons and conditions: polyether (also known as polyglycol ether) is a kind of synthetic oil with largest sales at present. The polyether can be used as low-foam detergent or defoamer, drug excipient and emulgator or serve as dispersant in lactescence, petroleum demulsifier, papermaking additive, or rinsing agent for textile dyeing, detergent washing in metal processing, pulp and papermaking industry, textile processing, water conditioning, etc. With the rapid growth of polyurethane (PU) of China in the coming years, it is estimated that the domestic PU demand will be about 2.25 million tons in 2015 and 2.75 million tons in 2020. III. Analysis of expected economic benefits: The annual output value will be RMB 2.88 billion and the revenue will be RMB 140 million upon commissioning. IV. Quangang 20t/a Modified Asphalt Project I. Description: the Project is located in Nanshan District of Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park with a planning area of 30 mu. Taking the matrix asphalt from Joint Refining and the SBS modifier and stabilizer provided by the Quangang Petrochemical Industrial Park, it is suggested to adopt modified asphalt process with latex. The production process for 20t/a modified asphalt may be: a) injecting hot asphalt and latex in the center and periphery of kettle at the same time or b) directly injecting hot asphalt and latex in the production process of asphalt mixture and mixing them uniformly.
