"Open the Blind Box, Decode China’s Yangtze River Delta Integration" starts in Nanjing

A launch ceremony for “Open the Blind Box, Decode China’s Yangtze River Delta Integration”, a multimedia report series by the Xinhua Daily Media Group, was held in Nanjing on the afternoon of December 1.

Under the guidance of the CPC Jiangsu Committee and the Jiangsu Cyberspace Administration, the feature series brings to life the enormous changes in the vibrant delta region from the perspective of Frank, a British media professional with nearly 30 years of experience in China. It also takes the form the popular retail marketing stunt called the blind box in which young shoppers buy against the odds and purchase an opaque package with small and collectible toys hidden inside. In the discovery journey, Frank unboxes the items to find answers to the questions inside.

Shuang Chuanxue, secretary of the CPC Xinhua Daily Committee and president of the Xinhua Daily Media Group, said such ambitious reporting not only showcases the group’s development philosophy of “Innovation, Integration, Cross-boundary, and Synergistic Growth” but also forms a creative practice to directly reach all kinds of user terminals and contribute to international public communication.

From December 1 to 8, the Xinhua Daily Media Group will roll out news reports featuring the integrated use of different forms of new media such as bilingual stories, short videos and H5 page-based news coverage and games to further introduce the delta region’s development to more people.

编者按：2018年11月5日，习近平总书记在首届中国国际进口博览会上宣布，支持长江三角洲区域一体化发展并上升为国家战略。今年11月中旬，习近平总书记在江苏考察时进一步指出，目前的长三角一体化发展从顶层规划到实际推动都取得了明显的成果，还要继续抓下去。

为深入贯彻习近平总书记关于长三角一体化发展和在江苏考察时的重要讲话精神，新华报业传媒集团推出“在中国，看Frank打开长三角‘盲盒’”大型互动式融媒体产品，以不一样的视角，讲述长三角区域一体化发展故事。

一桥飞架南北 “双城”生活变“同城”

回南通与父母孩子团聚，对于在上海工作的赵甜甜和顾杰夫妇来说是每周最期盼的事。“我们搭乘沪苏通高铁，只要一个半小时，就可以从上海回到南通，又快速又安全。”顾杰说。而以前，这条回家路，至少需要3小时。

发生一切改变的转折点，是沪苏通大桥今年7月1日的通车。一桥飞架南北，天堑变通途，从此“南通就好通”了。

赵甜甜告诉记者，由于以前从上海到南通坐火车需要绕道南京，很多在上海工作的南通人会自驾车回家，而途经的苏通大桥一到节假日往往会开启拥堵模式。“去年国庆节，我们9月30日下班驶入高速，一直堵车堵到第二天早上。”

从沪苏通大桥规划开始，赵甜甜和家人就一直关注着工程进展。盼望着，盼望着，在沪苏通高铁通车后的第一个周五，他们便坐上了这趟只要一个半小时的高铁。从此，从南通到上海，仿佛“同城生活”。

沪苏通铁路是国家中长期铁路网规划“八纵八横”高铁网中沿海通道的重要组成部分，“出道”即“顶流”。南通市交通运输局工作人员介绍，自路线开行以来，南通站、南通西站发苏南、上海方向的客流占沪苏通（苏南、上海、广州、深圳方向）总客发的90%，发广州、深圳方向的客流占沪苏通（苏南、上海、广州、深圳方向）总客发的10%，旅客日均经过沪苏通大桥4504人次，峰值一般出现在每周五、周日两天，有着明显的“潮汐”特征。

和赵甜甜一样盼望着沪苏通大桥通车的，还有更多南通人。南通站派出所副所长毛新风和同事们负责沪苏通铁路南通段的保卫工作。每天对沪苏通大桥的重要部位巡检时，看着车来车往，毛新风都会默念，这座桥，早就该通了。“这座桥对南通人来说，是2020年最激动、最自豪的一件事！”
