　　As of 24:00 of March 2, the National Health Commission had received 80,151 reports of confirmed cases and 2,943 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 47,204 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 30,004 confirmed cases (including 6,806 in serious condition) and 587 suspected cases. So far, 664,899 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 40,651 are now under medical observation.

　　  3. According to the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission, as of February 29, China's daily output of face masks reached 116 million units while its daily production capacity amounted to 110 million units that came in medical and non-medical calibers, further narrowing the supply deficit. The daily production capacity and output of N95-rated medical masks reached 1.96 million and 1.66 million respectively, effectively meeting the needs of the frontline medical staff.     

　　4. On March 2, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that considering the current circumstances and the local needs for epidemic prevention and control, examination, quarantine and other prevention and control measures have been taken for people coming from countries and regions with grave epidemic situation. These measures accord with Chinese laws and regulations. Chinese and foreign nationals are treated alike. These measures will be implemented without any discrimination, taking full consideration of the legitimate concern of the persons involved and offering them necessary guarantees and assistance.
